had a red berry wreath on the front door & it needed a little extra something.
had a couple valentines leftover from the project in my last post.
glued them onto a polka dot ribbon & glued the ribbon onto the wreath.
instant cute!
here’s the view outside our front door this morning -

i needed favors for a little valentine's coffee.
so - i bought 3 bags of wooden hearts from hobby lobby.
used misc. scrapbook paper & ribbon bits & embellishments found hither & yon
cut out 2 3/4” hearts with my cricut
they were a little off but that’s ok
i.had.a.plan.
but – i totally forgot to take pictures of the process :(
so you’ll just have to imagine it all in your minds.
modge podged the paper hearts onto the wooden hearts
using my pampered chef little pie roller as a brayer.
oh, i forgot this part. first, i painted all the wooden hearts a few
different colors: silver, gold, cream, white & red. then i waited for them
to dry. then, i modge podged the paper hearts onto the wooden hearts
using my pampered chef little pie roller (you know – the one that has a 4” roller on
one end & a 2” roller on the other end) as a brayer.
then – the fun began! i hot glued & modge podged & stickled (you do know all about stickle, right?) to my heart’s content.
i did take photos of the final results after i hung them on a little wire tree:
i think they were a hit!
only a few were left & they're for me!
they were a lot of fun to make & even more fun to give!

corrie & i had a little valentine’s day party for the “cousins” this past saturday.
actually, corrie did all the party planning & i provided the party house.
these are the invitations she sent out:
we had 6 cuties from 15 months to 7 years old (my 4 grandchildren & 1 great great niece & 1 great great nephew).
honestly, i figured with 6 kids, we’d be ready for them all to go home after 15 min.
but it went great!
they all made valentines for their mommies & daddies
they attempted to do a valentine march past the mailboxes
they had cupcakes, cookies & fruit
they had fun playing under the dining room table
and they DO NOT LIKE TO HAVE GROUP PHOTOS TAKEN!
gotta explain this – henry doesn’t like girls. & that includes girl cousins.
it was absolute torture for him to have to sit next to eva. and this was his reaction!
and, of course, eva LOVES henry and wants to follow him everywhere.
when we switched the order – he was FINE! this is youngest to oldest.
the four most beautiful grandchildren on earth!
eva was very sad when the party was over and everyone went home
and so was i :(
