yes, i mean you. this post may concern you. in fact, you may be concerned by this post. or this post may be of relevance to you. either way, here it is:
the luncheon at church on the 14th went very, very well. we had 84 ladies in attendance. it was beautiful. our singer was awesome (thanks, ellen!), our speaker was inspiring (thanks, jan!) & the food was great (thanks, GFS & everyone else!) Our prayer request & praise boxes were jam packed full & God was there in our midst loving on us & filling us with his promises for spring & much, much more. i'll post pictures (i promise) soon.
since then, we've had several extremely stressful days. God is good, He is faithful & i'm so thankful that i had spent so many days dwelling on his promises in march in preparation of the luncheon because i needed every one of them(His promises)during the last several days. He never left my side & He kept me strong. thank you, Jesus.
we've been planning to go to south carolina during the next few days.
it's my spring break from Community Bible Study & always a good time to get away. we weren't sure if it was going to really happen until just a few minutes ago.
(actually, we still might have to postpone the trip. shelly & i both have killer colds & eva (corrie & eva are going with us) is cutting not 1, but 2 front, top teeth at the very young age of 4 1/2 months! she's refusing to take most of her bottles & tylenol & orajel aren't helping.)
anyway, hopefully, this time tomorrow, we'll be at lizards thicket, our home away from home, in south carolina. we're looking forward to warm days filled with good conversation, good books & lots of naps.
and, maybe - even a trip to the beach
and, maybe - on friday - we'll get fresh shrimp from the shrimp guy
and, maybe - we'll get over our colds
and, maybe - eva's teeth will break through
and, hopefully - you will all have a great time, too, wherever you are, whatever you're doing : )

update on my grandma status
there has been great progress made by henry in switching from calling me "mimi" or "maymee" or "whatever" to calling me GRANDMA. each time he says it, it thrills me deep inside. now - if he would only stop adding "i called you grandma, grandma" after each time, it would make my joy complete.
on another note, he can also stop peeing on my toilet paper tower immediately, as far as i'm concerned. i think he must be perfecting his aim. oh the joy of 4 year old boys. just this time last year, we thought he'd be in diapers forever & now he's a master whizzer!
ya gotta love em!

serving the Lord is so much fun!
look at what i've been busy working on -
the last few weeks have been so much fun planning for a luncheon for the ladies in our church. 12-14 of us have met almost weekly to make the plans. we had 54 at our luncheon last spring & hoped we could have even more attend this year, so we moved it to the worship center. we made 72 favors & sort of used that as our "hope for" number. well, surprise, surprise. we've sold 92 tickets! that meant more favors to make, more places to set & napkins to iron & on & on & on.
this luncheon is this coming saturday at 11:30. i hope i don't forget to take pictures of the food & tables for me to blog about.
can't wait to tell you all all about it.
but for now - back to work!
