so glad Rhoda at Southern Hospitality has resumed her weekly party to showcase all the thrifty finds out here in bloggyland. it’s a little too early for garage sales in ohio but weekly trips to GW are a must around our house. (wish we were better at the “something must go out for each thing that comes in”. oh, well!)
one day – i happened upon these knives.
didn’t need them, but i LOVE THEM SO MUCH! i’m assuming that they are bakelite.
i know they’re from denmark but beyond that, i can’t find any info.
BUT THE PRICE – 1.99 for 6 table knives.
i had to buy them.
just had to.
absolutely positively had to.
they remind me of yummy caramels.
&– this is my 100th post since starting this blog.

Randee, Thanks for stopping by tonight. A fellow Ohio blogger- what do ya know! I live in Dayton and have met up w/several central OH bloggers since last year. We are planning an outing this spring, if you're interested. There is a small group of us that communicate w/each other. I love your knives and can't believe your GW had such a good price on them. The stores here are very overpriced for what they sell. Not too many good deals, compared to what other GW locations sell their items for. I'll have to come back for another visit soon.

They do look like caramels! And bakelite just feels so good to hold in the hand, no wonder you couldnt pass them up.
Great price! My GW is really spendy, way too overpriced. Sometimes I wanna ask them if they know it's a thrift store!
I just think these knives are lovely and hope you find a nice way to display them! Too pretty to be in a drawer!
